What patients actually see

When someone types “knee surgeon near me”, Google shows a map with three practices, then a list of websites. Which three appear depends on three things: how relevant your profile is, how close you are, and how well known you are online.

Relevance: say what you do

Your Google profile, website and posts should use the words patients use. “Knee replacement” and “knee surgeon” beat “arthroplasty” for most searches.

In Prakta, Grow shows you the searches that matter for your specialty and towns, with the number of people searching each month.

Distance: it changes street by street

Results differ across a town. That’s why Prakta checks 25 points around each clinic, so you can see where you’re found and where you’re not.

Prominence: reviews, posts and links

Regular posts, a steady stream of reviews from every patient (never just the happy ones) and an up-to-date profile all help. Three things to do this month: complete your opening hours, post twice, and send review requests to last month’s patients.
